Ben and Cheng held their wedding ceremony at Gosfield Hall in the Grand Salon followed by reception drinks in the library and grounds, and their wedding breakfast was held in the very grand ball room. I drove through torrential rain on my way to the wedding so I was fearing for the worst. Fortunately the sun came out as I arrived and the evening was beautiful. Ben and Cheng were very clear on how they wanted their wedding photographed and although we specialise in a very discreet and natural approach to weddings they had expressed they would also like quite a few formal groups seeing as family had travelled from all over the world to be there at their wedding.
We usaully recomend 10-12 formal groups which might take 30-40 minutes to capture, however it is your day, and as long as we can prepare correctly and leave enough time you can have as many formal groups as you like. Fortunatley the evening was lovely and bright and so we still managed to spend some time with the happy couple working on our less posed style of photography for which we are known.
Thank you to Sonya at Gosfield Hall for organising such a seamless event. And thanks to Nic, my new assistant for working so hard, you did just great. Here are just a selection of my favourite wedding photographs from the day-
